I love color. Soft, fuzzy socks. Warm tea on a rainy day. Lots and lots of colorful, soft, inspiring yarn.
I have a double major in English (emphasis on creative writing) and math, and a Masters in Teaching.
I teach math at a high school (my 4th year teaching). I tutor math. I teach crochet classes at Michaels. I crochet everything. Always. I have worked at daycares, camps, grocery stores, state fairs, and lemonade stands.
I am married to the most wonderfully supportive and snuggly hubband (as of this moment, that's a real word) and together we dream, plot, and read about living a green, self-sustaining life. Currently we live in an apartment in a superwalmart of a city that doesn't believe in recycling.
I get ideas from children who ask me to make them toys and draw incredible designs for me to ensure i get it right. I get ideas from friends who love me and my crochet-ness and pass along ideas from etsy, pinterest, or stumbleupon. I get ideas from colors I see on the striped socks of the person three rows up and from the natural wood buttons I imagine are waiting to be carved out of a tree branch on the side of the road. This is the beginning of a new adventure in my "sandydodat" story. I'm excited to see what I can do and share with you all, and hope you enjoy watching the story unfold.
